Support For Neighbors In Need

In 2015, a tragedy occurred in our town. Two children, already faced with a terminal diagnosis of their mother, suddenly lost their father. It was clear the community needed to step in and support this family.  Residents of USR readily volunteered to provide daily home-cooked meals, tutoring, school lunches, plowing & shoveling, pool care, and much-needed rides into the city for treatment each week. This all needed to be quickly organized, and done without chaos.  With the help and support of the USR community, this family was able to experience a better quality of life during a tragic time.  For this reason, USR Cares was created in memory of this loving mother, daughter, friend and neighbor.

“USR Cares is unlike any organization I have had the honor to be involved with. By assembling the leaders of various town-wide organizations, USR Cares has established unity in our community in order to achieve one common goal – to help residents in their most difficult times.”

– Noba Ebaid, President, USRFD
